Felt feedback

Anybody out there have any pros and/or cons on the felt line? A friend here at work is looking at the Z25 and I don’t have an opinion either way. Figure the Felt riders would know!

Thanks

Dave

I have an '07 Felt B2, my wife has an '06 F5C and we love them. I’m searching for a new F3 right now but Felt is sold out and none of the local dealers have any. I’ve ridden Scott, Kuota and Cervelo and think Felt is the best bang for the buck. To me they seem to have better components than a different brand’s bikes in the same price range.

My Felt B2 is the shit, I love it love it love it. Although I have not ridden any other road or tri bike I couldn’t be any happier. She’s gonna get her first task of the race action this weekend. Ohh yeah, the stock saddle is a bit rough though. The things is a knife…the bike that is.

I’ve had a Felt RXC hardtail MTB and an F3C. Loved 'em both. I’m actually considering ordering another RXC Team frame, and that F3C was SO smooth…

Right now, I think Felt has some of the best “bang for the buck” bikes out there. So far I’m very pleased with the B12 I bought a few weeks ago. Here she is.

I purchased a DA in 2007. Love it, get handling and very fast. Luckily I was able to keep it, was for sale for a bit, but I was funnel funds away fro mthe sale. I will always keep it in my stable now.

I’ve got 3 Felts and I love 'em!

Great value, solid engineering, fantastic customer support…

There are a few (but not many) brands that can boast the same. If the Z25 fits your friend, is withing his budget and meets his needs - you can’t go wrong with it.

Felts are pretty good, but dont be lead astray by the listed weight of the bike that is on the website. I have found that the wieghts that are listed are quite a bit off from reality. Also, Felt makes some of their own components and uses some parts that are unlisted. I am still trying to figure out exactly what kind of rear hub is on my felt tri bike. I’m not sure if Felt actually makes it or not.

While Felts are a good value, some things arent too good. The paint on my 08 aluminum tri bike is terrible. It started peeling as soon as it left the shop. That may not be a problem on the z35 since it is a carbon bike.

Triburger is right about the weights. What size bike are they scaling with that one “blanket” weight they put on the specs? The 42 frame?

Anyway, seems like this post is mostly garnering pro Felt feedback, so hopefully you can get SOME negatives to get a good picture.

BTW - I am a Felt owner, my brother has a Felt, my dad has a Felt, my wife has a Felt. Nuff said.

Felt track bike. Love it.

Pros: It fits me and very comfortable
Cons: Expensive!
I have this little guy but as for the weight it is almost same and even with the disk maybe lower then listed weight. But I have chaged a lot of components on the stock listed bike.
(currently the seatpost is cut and the rear setting is cut too, and I use carbon regular cage for the frame instead of aero drink)

I ride a S25 and love it.

I went with the Felt B12. Very happy, but it’s my first tri, and my first carbon fiber, so what’s not to like?

I went with this brand and model because of the wheels it comes with. They’re not carbon, but they’re pretty aero. I didn’t want to have to buy carbon wheels, at least until I recover from this investment anyway. The b12 hit my price v accessory sweet spot.

I know it’s not the most popular brand, but when people buy something because of the name on it, I tend to get suspicious about that product and its bandwagoners. But obviously, that’s a personal prejudice.

Same with me about the ttr wheels. Whats not to love about a company that puts nice wheels on a bike? Some of us just cant afford a new bike and race wheels that cost nearly as much, if not more.

I have an 2008 B2 and have nothing but great things to say about it.

The best part was the 15% discount on it.

Love my new B12. I dropped 5 minutes on my sprint distance time over the same course last year using my road bike. Could there be other factors in that? Nah, had to be the bike. Besides, my 6 year old says it looks super cool which almost justified it on its own.

that is a sweet bike.

I know

I have an '03 F50 and love it! I still ride it all the time. I’ve also had an '05 B2 and now a '07 B2. I love my new B2. I’ve had some minor issues but I ride the shit out of it on pretty rough roads.

Pros: It fits me and very comfortable
Cons: Expensive!
